Shopping, Female Style

Most of the guys I know have one of two shopping styles. Manly Shopping Style One has been documented in this blog before. Check it out here.

Manly Shopping Style Two is aptly named by my friend Diane: "Sight it- shoot it-bag it."

Friday was definitely not a male shopping day.

Looking for a dress for Audrey to wear to graduation, we traipsed through Gordman's, Penney's, Target, Von Maur, Dillards, Christopher & Banks, The Gap, Old Navy, New York&Co., Younkers, and Kohl's.

Times have changed since I used to haul four little stair-steps to the big city for a day of sight it-shoot it-bag it errands. However, I'm not sure I wound up any less tired on Friday, and we still don't have an outfit for Audrey.

Thanks for a fun day, anyway, girls. Looks like it's time to dust off the sewing machine.

That sounds like a fun day! It would have been nice to find a dress you liked, but at least when you sew something, you can have pretty much exactly what you were looking for!

You went to 11 stores and didn't find a dress! Wow! But yeah, most of the dresses these days are so immodest it's hard to find a cute, yet modest one that doesn't look old ladish. I'm sure you will come up with something cute even if you have to sew one. :D

Hey, how did you come out at Eddie Bauers? Were you successful there? I should add to the comment of "sight it, shoot it, bag it" that was a true man's statement, my hubby's. Diane

Diane - We ordered a dress from Eddie Bauer, one they didn't have in the store. Waiting for it to arrive, to see how it fits. Thanks so much for the idea.
