But part of the reason is that I lost my camera cord. That means I had no convenient way to move photos off of my camera and onto the computer. And photos are a big part of the stories I tell.
This morning, I finally decided to get serious about looking for the cord. I dug through all the chambers of a suitcase I carried on my latest travels. Crawled under the office computer table (YUCK!!!) and sorted through a rat's nest of cords and dust bunnies down there. Plied through mountains of papers on my desk. Sifted several small zipper pockets of a backpack, and combed the junk on two different bookshelves. Et Cet.
To no avail.
I gave up, and started picking up in the living room. While I tidied, I thought, "You haven't even asked God to help you find that camera cord." So I asked Him. Before I could finish the sentence, I heard, in my head, "It's in the drawer in the desk in the kitchen."
He was right. It was in the drawer in the desk in the kitchen.
James wrote that we have not because we ask not. Let's ask! God wants to love us up!
